Mahogany obsidian, also known as mountain mahogany, is natural glass obsidian that has iron inclusions creating the mahogany colored stripes and swirls in it. It is a grounding stone. It is said to activate the lower chakras, especially the root chakra and is a powerful stone for cleansing and healing.
