Mabon Broom Crafting: Celebrating the Wheel of the Year

Join us for a cozy and heart-centered Mabon Broom Crafting Workshop! 
This is the eighth in our series honoring the Wheel of the Year by crafting a unique broom for each Sabbat. In this workshop, we’ll celebrate Mabon—the Autumn Equinox, a sacred time of balance, gratitude, and honoring both the harvest and the coming descent into the darker half of the year.

Learn About the Wheel of the Year:

Explore the traditions and symbolism of Mabon, the second of the harvest festivals. We’ll discuss its connection to balance and duality (light and dark, inner and outer), the myths of Persephone’s descent, and the giving of thanks for abundance before winter. This is a time to pause, reflect, and find equilibrium as we move deeper into the season of shadow and rest.

Craft your broom:

In this hands-on class, you’ll craft a beautiful Mabon 36 inch cinnamon broom using faux and natural elements such as: dried leaves, berries, apples, acorns, grains, fall flowers, herbs, ribbons, and charms. Each piece symbolizes balance, gratitude, and the cycles of death and rebirth. All supplies are included for a grounded, inspired creative experience.

Infuse Your Craft with Intention:

As you weave your broom, we’ll guide you through a simple Equinox blessing ritual to charge it with intentions of gratitude, harmony, and clarity for the months ahead.

Take-Home Handout:

Each participant will receive a guide to the Wheel of the Year, the history and folklore of Mabon, and suggestions for incorporating your broominto seasonal and magical home practice.
