Breath of the Sea Gentle Yoga and Meditation



This gentle, relaxing yoga class teaches a variety of gentle poses and breathing techniques (Hatha and Yin styles), interspersed with meditation interludes and ending with a restorative guided body scan. The class is perfect for all levels of yoga and meditation students. Join us…breathe, move and heal. Please bring a yoga mat. Blocks and straps will be provided. Several chairs will be provided for those who need/prefer to practice seated in a a chair. (all earnings to be donated back to Mindful Mermaid to be used for scholarships toward any Mindful Mermaid classes.)

Kellye Abernathy is a yoga and meditation teacher, E-RYT
 200, RYT 500, registered with Yoga Alliance. She is experienced in working within the counseling and social work communities to provide skills to aid in the healing of trauma survivors and those who seek relaxation from learning gentle breathing techniques and restorative movements. She likes teaching all types of yoga, but is particularly drawn to Yin and Hatha, as these disciplines focus on slow, intentional movement and the importance of holding in stillness, pairing well with breathing exercises and meditation.
